Save money, ensure safety and improve energy efficiencies by leveraging remote energy operations.
Save Money With Our Remote Monitoring Solution
Many states require licensed stationary engineers to operate mechanical equipment such as boiler plants, steam and gas turbines, chillers, and generators, to name a few. For many facilities, having full-time engineering and operations personnel on staff 24/7 is a costly burden. Through 24-hour remote computerized operations and monitoring by a Grade 1 Stationary Engineer, building owners are saving money, complying with regulations, and ensuring the reliability and safety of mechanical systems.
24/7 Remote Monitoring
24/7 monitoring by a Vicinity Grade 1 Stationary Engineer to advise of equipment trips, off-normal performance, etc., so that corrective action can be taken before a trip occurs. Service also includes periodic reviews of key performance indicators (KPIs) with a focus on providing recommendations to improve performance and save energy.
Remote Operations & Monitoring
This includes the scope of services incorporated under remote monitoring, along with Vicinity operations support. Vicinity operators will implement any necessary equipment status changes or adjustments required. These adjustments can be made directly from Vicinity’s Operation Control Centers.
Remote Operations, Monitoring & Onsite Staffing
This service includes all support provided through remote operations and monitoring and can incorporate some or all of the required preventative maintenance of the equipment and/or controls, depending on the customer’s specific needs.
Efficient Remote Monitoring for Your Buildings
While some buildings or campuses with central utility plants may not need full-time engineering staff, some states are requiring that a licensed stationary engineer monitor the energy operations 24/7. In other cases, building owners are looking at ways to strategically manage their energy operations without having to hire full-time engineering or operations staff. Remote monitoring by our team of licensed engineers and energy experts provides our customers with the peace of mind that their energy operations are running efficiently and safely, while also helping to reduce their personnel costs.
The Benefits of Remote Monitoring
Through its state-of-the-art Operations Control Centers, Vicinity is helping several customers manage their energy infrastructure, save money and improve efficiencies through its remote monitoring suite of services. Through a secure remote connection to the customer’s mechanical room(s) from our control centers, Vicinity can monitor the equipment to evaluate plant performance and adjust as necessary to maintain the highest performance levels.
