Vicinity will utilize carbon-free power from the grid and import it to our facilities through a co-located electric substation to power our electric boilers to produce eSteam™.
Delivering carbon-free eSteam™
Our first 42MW electric boiler was installed at our Cambridge, MA, facility in 2024, with our Philadelphia location closely following.
We will start delivering eSteam™ to our Boston and Cambridge customers in 2024.

Vicinity has access to a lower-cost, high-voltage, transmission-level electrical supply, reducing financial barriers to adopting electrification technologies at scale.
