General Counsel
Robert Arendell
As General Counsel, Rob is the chief legal officer for Vicinity Energy, with overall responsibility for all legal and compliance issues, real estate, and risk. He manages a team of lawyers and legal professionals responsible for contract negotiations and contract management, mergers and acquisitions, dispute and litigation management, ethics and compliance training, and legal aspects of labor and employment and business development.
Prior to his role at Vicinity, Rob served in various leadership roles at Veolia North America (VNA) for nearly 20 years. Most recently, Rob served as General Counsel for VNA. Prior to that, he led the legal team for the Municipal and Commercial (M&C) business as Senior Vice President (SVP) and General Counsel, managing all the legal aspects of the diverse M&C business.
Before joining Veolia, Rob worked as an Associate at Donnelly, Conroy & Gelhaar, LLP and Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c., focusing on business litigation for commercial, environmental and securities matters. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Colby College and received his juris doctorate from Boston University School of Law.
